Your data in News Monitor
News Monitor is an Android app for reading cryptocurrency headlines and viewing indicative market prices. It has no account, separate app backend, advertising, attribution SDK, or analytics SDK.
Information stored on your device
The app stores your watchlist, saved stories, read and hidden story status, source choices, named filters and their keywords, appearance and alert settings, in-app notifications, and a local archive of headlines received by the app. The archive keeps up to 500 stories for up to 30 days. These items are stored locally in the app and are not sent to the News Monitor publisher.
You can remove this data using Settings → Clear local data in the app. Uninstalling the app also removes its local data, subject to any device backup settings controlled by Android or your device provider.
Internet requests and third parties
While the app is open, it requests public RSS feeds directly from CoinDesk, Cointelegraph and The Block, and price data directly from CoinGecko. Requests for a price chart include the selected coin and time period. These HTTPS requests expose normal network information, including your IP address, to the respective provider. Providers may keep their own server logs and process this information under their own policies. News Monitor does not control their retention practices.
The app does not request GPS location, contacts, camera, microphone, or advertising ID permissions. It does not send your saved filters, article history, or watchlist to a News Monitor server.
Links and sharing
When you open an original article, your browser or the publisher’s website handles that visit. When you choose to share a story, Android sends its title and link to the app you select. Those services have their own data practices.
Children, changes and questions
News Monitor is intended for a general audience and is not designed specifically for children. We may update this policy if the app or its data practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version. For privacy questions, use the contact information below.

News Monitor displays headlines, short feed summaries, and indicative market prices from third parties. It is an independent reader and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the publishers or CoinGecko.

CoinGecko has no responsibility or liability for this app or for financial decisions made using its data. Users must respect the CoinGecko API Terms when accessing that service through News Monitor.

Third-party content
Articles, summaries, trademarks, and market data belong to their respective owners. Headlines can be delayed, corrected, removed, or unavailable. Opening a publisher link takes you to an external site with its own terms and privacy policy.
Availability and appropriate use
The app depends on your internet connection and the availability of public feeds and price services. Features may be interrupted or changed when providers change their services. Use the app lawfully and do not attempt to interfere with its operation or third-party services.
No guarantee of accuracy
The app and its content are provided as available. The publisher does not guarantee that headlines, summaries, timestamps, prices, or alerts are complete, current, or error-free. In-app alerts are generated only when the app finds matching headlines while open; they are not background push notifications.

Each story in News Monitor identifies its publisher and publication time, with a link to the original article. The app currently reads these public feeds and market data:
